Antonie Rietzschel

Antonie Rietzschel (* 1986 ) is a German political scientist , journalist and presenter.

Life

Antonie Rietzschel grew up in a village near Saxon Switzerland . After studying political science at the University of Bremen and working as a journalist at the Dresden youth magazine Spiesser , Tagesspiegel , Spiegel Online and the German Depeschendienst , she became a political editor at sz.de , where she coordinated reporting on it during the 2015/2016 refugee crisis in Germany . Due to her personal experiences with xenophobia and right-wing extremism in her home region, these topics formed the focus of her journalistic work. She is currently working as a freelance journalist in Leipzig, primarily for the Süddeutsche Zeitung . Her main topics are right-wing extremism and right-wing populism. In addition to her journalistic work, Antonie Rietzschel regularly moderates panel discussions or appears as a speaker herself.
