Antonin Emile Louis Corbaz-Marmontel (born November 24, 1850 in Paris ; † July 23, 1907 there ) was a French composer, pianist and music teacher.

Marmontel had first piano lessons from his father, the composer and music teacher Antoine François Marmontel . From the age of ten he studied at the Conservatoire de Paris Solfège, harmony and accompaniment, counterpoint and fugue with François Bazin and piano with his father. In 1873 he received an honorable mention in the competition for the Prix ​​de Rome with the cantata Mazeppa .

From 1875 to 1881 he was a tutor for solfège at the Conservatoire. Between 1878 and 1889 he worked as second choirmaster at the Paris Opera , in addition he remained connected to the Conservatoire as a member of the examination committee. In 1901 he took over the piano class from Raoul Pugno and taught a. a. Marguerite Long and Magda Tagliaferro , later also Robert Casadesus .

Marmontel composed over 150 piano pieces as well as numerous songs. In addition, he published several music pedagogical works. Several composers dedicated works to him: Émile Artaud the mascarade , René Baillot a prelude , Reynaldo Hahn two waltzes and Mel Bonis a prelude .
