Antonina Witaljewna Skorobogatchenko ( Russian Антонина Витальевна Скоробогатченко , English Antonina Skorobogatchenko ; born February 14, 1999 in Volgograd ) is a Russian handball player .
Career
Antonina Skorobogatchenko initially played in her hometown for GK Dynamo Volgograd , for which she played in the top Russian league and in the EHF Cup . In February 2017, the backcourt player moved to league competitor GK Kuban Krasnodar . In February 2020, she joined PGK CSKA Moscow .
Antonina Skorobogatchenko won the silver medal with Russia at the U-17 European Championship in 2015 and was also elected to the All-Star team. A year later, the left-handed woman won the gold medal at the U-18 World Cup and the silver medal at the U-20 World Cup in 2016 . In addition, she was elected to the All-Star Team at both tournaments. Skorobogachenko won the silver medal with Russia at the U-19 European Championship in 2017 , which the team was later stripped of due to a doping violation. She is now a member of the Russian national team . With Russia she took part in the European Championship in 2016 . She won the silver medal at the 2018 European Championships .
doping
Skorobogatchenko tested positive for meldonium at the 2017 U-19 European Championship . Initially, she was banned from all competitions for 20 months, but the sentence was later reduced to 12 months.
