Antonio Beltrami
Antonio Beltrami (* 1724 in Cremona ; † 1784 ibid) was an Italian painter of the (late) baroque and classicism .
He was born in Cremona and was a student of Francesco Boccaccino . Of his pictures, the main altarpiece by S. Ilano is preserved in Cremona (formerly in S. Apollinare). On the recommendation of the Milanese government, he worked at the imperial court in Vienna from 1764 to 1767 , where he had to draw maps with costume figures of the areas concerned.
The gem cutter Giovanni Beltrami was probably his nephew.
