Antonio Giuffrè

Antonio Giuffrè or Antonello Giuffrè , Antonello de la Re or Antonio Jufre (* 1493 in Messina ; † 1543 there ) was a Renaissance painter at the end of the 15th century.

Antonio Giuffrè was a painter who mainly worked in Messina, succeeding Antonello da Messina and thus probably from the immediate circle of Antonello and Pietro de Saliba . He was assigned two pictures, an "Annunciation" and a "Saint Nicholas with scenes from his life" in the Citta Bassa in Milazzo .

He is mentioned as "Magister JUFFRÉ du re pictor civis nobilis civitatis Messanae". Giuffrè is also led under the original name Juffré.
