Antonio Roig (born March 9, 1975 ) is a former Spanish ice hockey player who has participated in several world championships for the Spanish national team during his active time .
Career
Antonio Roig played for FC Barcelona in the Spanish Super League from 2001 to 2010 . During this period he won the national championship with the Catalans in the 2001/02 and 2008/09 seasons and reached the final of the national cup competition, the Copa del Rey , with the Catalans in 2002, 2003 and 2008 , in which he played his team, however, was defeated. At European level, the national player competed with FCB at the IIHF Continental Cup in 2003, 2004 and 2009 , but retired with his team in the first and second round.
International
For Spain , Roig took part in the junior division of the U18 Junior B European Championships in 1992 and 1993 and the U20 Junior C World Championships in 1994 and 1995 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the D World Championships in 1997 and 1999 and the C World Championship in 2003 .
