Antonio de Yanguas

Antonio de Yanguas (born April 12, 1682 in Medinaceli , † October 27, 1753 in Salamanca ) was a Spanish composer.

De Yanguas was first a choirboy at the Collegiate Church in Medinaceli, then chaplain at the Collegiate Church in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) and Maestro de capilla at the Church of Sant Cayetana in Madrid , at the Metropolitan Basilica in Santiago de Compostela and at the Cathedral of Salamanca. He also worked as a professor of music at the University of Salamanca. De Yanguas composed numerous pieces of sacred music that are kept in the archives of Salamanca Cathedral.
