Antonito is a small town in Conejos County in the US state of Colorado . The city, founded on December 29, 1889, is 2405 meters above sea level and, according to the statistics office, had 781 inhabitants in an area of ​​one square kilometer in 2010.

The town lies on the highways US Highway 285 and Colorado State Highway 17 and serves as a starting point for summer car rides on the routes of former Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad : the narrow gauge " Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad " evaporated up to 100 km beyond Osier to Chama (New Mexico) , the standard gauge San Luis and Rio Grande Railroad runs under the name Rio Grande Scenic Railroad to Alamosa , Monte Vista and La Veta.
