Antonius Purisol († 1645 in Kaisersteinbruch , western Hungary , today Burgenland ) was a master stonemason and sculptor of the Renaissance .

Life

Master Antonius Purisol can be identified for the first time in the imperial quarry on Leithaberg around 1640, when he received a quarry and property from Abbot Michael Schnabel of Heiligenkreuz Abbey as the authority on which he built a house.

In the event logs of the Vienna stonemason files of May 5, 1644, it is recorded: "... is an honorable craft of the bourgeois master stonemasons and masons in Vienna with Mr. Jacob Spazzio, Unterzechmeister , because of the disputes between the masters Ambrosius Petruzzy and Antonius Purisol - Concerning the stonemason hut near St. Michael - we were together.
