Antti Hytti

Antti Hytti (* 1950 ) is a Finnish jazz bassist and composer.

Life

Hytti attended the Sibelius Academy from 1970 to 1977 , from which he graduated with a diploma as a bassist. In the mid-1970s he was one of the founding members of the ethno jazz ensemble Piirpauke , with whom he recorded two albums from 1976 to 1977. He also worked with Edward Vesala , Tomasz Stańko , Tomasz Szukalski , Hasse Walli and Jarmo Savolainen .

Since the late 1970s, he has worked as a composer and music producer on more than twenty television and cinema films, documentaries and short films. For this he founded the Mangtone Studio in 1987 .

In 1997 he founded the group Otna Eahket with Jone Takamäki and Tom Nekljudow . He works regularly with the saxophonist, flautist and pianist Sakari Kukko . Since 1990 he has headed the sound design department of the Finnish Theater Academy.
