Anyama

Anyama is a suburb and district of Abidjan in the Ivory Coast . The place is located 5 kilometers north of the Bingerville district and 15 kilometers northeast of the city center of Abidjan on the west bank of the inland lake Aguien . The place is significant as a fishing village and destination for the capital city dwellers. There is a football club in Anyama called Rio Sport d'Anyama .

Population according to the 2014 census is 148,962.

In the wake of the 2010/2011 government crisis , heavy fighting was reported in Anyama on March 29, 2011.
