Aozi is a small oasis in the north of Chad in the particularly remote east of the Tibesti Mountains in the Borkou region . Aozi is located south of the Tarso Emizou, which is over 3000 m high . A dirt road leads east to the Ouri plain, around 40 kilometers away, and further north-east to Libya. To the southwest of the ski trail leads over the 1771 m high Tschebedo Pass ( Col de Chebedo ) for about 100 kilometers distant place Goumeur . The closest settlement is the Ūzī oasis 8 kilometers northeast of Aozi.
Aozi is not to be confused with the much larger oasis Aouzou around 200 km to the northwest.
