Apostle Peter and the Last Supper is a historical film from 2012, which shows Peter’s reflection on his time with Jesus and his companions during his last imprisonment in the Roman city of Carcer Tullianus .

Carcer Tullianus in Rome , three days before the crucifixion of the first bishop of Rome in 67 AD. The fisherman Simon Petrus , one of the first Jews who called Jesus of Nazareth to follow him, spokesman for the disciples or apostles , first confessor, but also denier of Jesus Christ , second male eyewitness of the risen Christ ( Jn 20 : 3-6  EU ), one of the leaders ("pillars") of the early Jerusalem community and finally the first bishop of Rome, he is waiting here in the Mamertine dungeon for his cruel execution for inciting hatred against the empire . His jailer Martinian realizes that he is guarding a very prominent Christian and, after some hesitation, dares to talk to him. The other rowdy guard, Processus , learns of the forbidden conversation and Martinian threatens to report the violation. But Processus finally decides in his own interest to remain silent and to allow further discussions. A captivating dialogue emerges in which Peter, in the face of his death, reflects on the time with Jesus and the apostles.
