Ara Chatschatrjan ( Armenian Արա Խաչատրյան ; born September 13, 1982 in Gyumri ) is an Armenian weightlifter .
Career
Ara Chatschatrjan took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics, where he finished seventh in the weight class up to 77 kg with a total performance of 353 kg after only two valid attempts.
He won the bronze medal at the 2006 World Cup in the category up to 77 kg with a total output of 357 kg. At the European Championships Chatschatrjan won two silver medals in 2007 with 361 kg and again in 2008 with 361 kg.
