Arabis ferdinandi-coburgii is a species ofthe cruciferous family (Brassicaceae).
description
Arabis ferdinandi-coburgii is an evergreen , perennial, herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 5 to 20 centimeters. It forms aboveground runners . The stem leaves are matt, with entire margins and, due to fork hairs, lined with white on the edge.
The flowering period extends from April to May.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 18.
Occurrence
Arabis ferdinandi-coburgii is endemic to the Pirin Mountains in Bulgaria. The species grows in subalpine rock corridors.
use
Arabis ferdinandi-coburgii is rarely used as an ornamental plant for rock gardens and as a ground cover. The species has been in culture since 1903.
