Archangelos ( Greek Αρχάγγελος ( m sg.. ), Archangel ', until 1925 officially Ossiani Όσσιανη, meglenorumänisch Osani ) is a place in northern Greece and part of the municipality Exaplatanos the community Almopia in the region of Central Macedonia . This place is known for the monastery of St. Michael, where several monks mainly pursue icon painting. The inhabitants live mainly from the production of cherries. The place is little known for tourism. There is no hotel, but there are some guest houses, shops, restaurants and kafenia . Archangelos is one of the places in the original range of the Megleno-Romanian language .
