Architecture in Helsinki is an Australian twee pop music ensemble based in Northcote , Melbourne and consists of Cameron Bird, Gus Franklin, Jamie Mildren, Sam Perry, and Kellie Sutherland. The choice of instruments is similar to that of Australian high school bands, and they often use brass instruments and recorders . Architecture in Helsinki have been making music together since 2000 , combining elements of indie , electro and pop music .

The band's musical repertoire is very multifaceted, so in addition to more typical instruments such as guitar , bass and drums, they also use many other instruments such as analog synthesizers , samplers , glockenspiels, tubas , clarinets , oboes and recorders. Her debut album, Fingers Crossed , was recorded in many different places in 2002, including beach houses, but also real studios. It was published by Trifekta in February 2003 . They released their second album In Case We Die in 2005 under their own label "Tailem Bend". Most recently, they contributed to the re-recording of the title song for the album Do It Again: A Tribute to Pet Sounds (indie artists interpret the classic Beach Boys album). The song Escapee was chosen as the soundtrack for the computer game FIFA 12 .

In addition, Architecture in Helsinki is one of the first bands that managed to become known simply by establishing a large presence on the Internet and thus winning listeners all over the world.
