Archives of Dermatological Research , abbreviated Arch. Dermatol. Res. , Is a scientific journal published by Springer-Verlag . The journal was founded in 1869 by Heinrich Auspitz and Philipp Josef Pick under the name Archive for Dermatology and Syphilis as the first German-language journal for dermatology. In the years between 1874 and 1888 the journal appeared under the name Vierteljahresschrift für Dermatologie und Syphilis , from 1889 it was published again as an archive for dermatology and syphilis . In 1921 it was taken over by Springer Verlag. From 1955 to 1970 the name was Archive for Clinical and Experimental Dermatology , followed by the name Archive for Dermatological Research from 1971 to 1975 . The current name has been in effect since 1975 ( Enno Christophers became editor in the same year ). The journal appears with ten issues a year and publishes work in the fields of dermatology .
