Arga de Cima is a Portuguese place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the concelho Caminha . It is located about 17 kilometers southeast of Caminha at one of the highest points of the Serra de Arga . The community had 73 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

The patron saint of the place is the hermit Antonius , whose festival is celebrated annually on January 17th. The most important buildings are the parish church of the village and the Capela do Santo do Alto.

With the territorial reform of September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of Arga de Cima, Arga de São João and Arga de Baixo were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Arga (Baixo, Cima e São João) .
