Arian neighbor

Arian Nachbar (born January 6, 1977 in Rostock ) is a former German short tracker .

The trained car mechanic and current sports soldier of the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr belongs to the ESV Turbine Rostock, where he is trained by Karin Schmidt. From 1984 to 1992 he ran classic speed skating and since 1990 short track.

Life

At the age of 7, the Rostock began his career as a competitive athlete. His first ways on the ice led him to speed skating. At the age of 14 he was offered the opportunity to either go to a special school for speed skating in Berlin or to try the short track sport, which was new to him, parallel to his speed skating training in his hometown .

He decided on the short track, which he has been running exclusively since 1992. Neighbor took part in European and World Championships as well as the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, where he was only mediocre. He was also on the ice in Salt Lake City in 2002 and in Turin in 2006 , improving his positions with every participation.

Neighbor now works as a regional trainer for the offspring in Rostock.
