Ariel Gebhardt (born August 1, 1991 in Denver , Colorado ; Ariel Turner until 2016) is a former American national volleyball player .

Career

Turner began her athletic career at her home university in Purdue, where she played from 2008 to 2012. She then moved to the top French club volleyball Nantes . In her first season she was runner-up with her club. In her second year she was able to advance to the best attacker in the French league with a total of 444 points. For the 2015/16 season she moved to the Bundesliga for Schweriner SC . In 2016 she decided to take her mother's maiden name and since then has played under the family name Gebhardt. In her second year in Germany, she became German champion with the Schwerin women. She then decided to end her professional career in favor of studying.

Turner has seven appearances for the United States national volleyball team.
