Ari's grandson
Aris Enkelmann (born April 29, 1964 in Frankfurt an der Oder ) is a former German foil fencer . In 1988 he took part in the Olympic Games for the German Democratic Republic . He started for SC Dynamo Berlin while he was playing .
Career
He took part in the 1986 World Fencing Championships in Sofia for the GDR and with the foil team he took third place behind Italy and the Federal Republic of Germany together with Adrian Germanus , Jens Howe , Udo Wagner and Ingo Weissenborn . Two years later he took part in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul . In the individual competition in foil fencing, he finished 11th and with the team they missed a medal with fourth place.
