Aristides Strongylis

Aristides Strongylis ( Greek Αριστείδης Στρογγύλης , born July 8, 1974 in Athens ) is a Greek composer.

Life

Strongylis first studied guitar and composition in Greece. This was followed by composition studies with Siegfried Thiele and Dimitri Terzakis at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . He attended composition seminars and master classes a. a. with Peter Eötvös , Kaija Saariaho , Martin Bresnick , Johannes Kretz , Brian Ferneyhough and Jonathan Harvey . He works as a composer and music teacher in Leipzig and has received numerous awards for his composition pedagogical work with children. a. by the Kulturstiftung der Länder . His works, which are published by Edition Gravis , were among others. a. Performed by the Amarcord Ensemble , the Iturriaga Quartet , Hatto Beyerle , Tatjana Masurenko and the Apollon Musagète Quartet .
