The Organpipe Point (English for organ pipe tip ) is a distinctive, rugged and up to 70 m high headland with an east-west orientation on the northeast coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located between Charybdis Cove and Griffin Cove .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee descriptively named the headland in 1998. It is named after its almost vertically rising dolerite pillars , which are arranged like organ pipes .
