The Charybdis Cove is a vast bay in the northeast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is flanked to the east by ice cliffs, to the north by Organpipe Point and to the south by Slab Point .
The bay is one of the geographical features in the Williams Point area that are named after mythical creatures. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1998 after Charybdis , a sea monster from Greek mythology.
