Aristomenis Provelengios (architect)

Aristomenis Provelengios (also Provelenghios, Αριστομένης Προβελέγγιος; * 1914 in Greece ; † 1999 ibid) was a Greek architect and from 1962 president of the Greek Institute of Architects.

On his father's side, Provelengios was a descendant of Markos Botsaris . He studied at the Technical University of Athens with Dimitris Pikionis and Anastasios Orlandos , a fellow student and friend of his was Georges Candilis . With a grant from the French state, he continued his studies from 1945 in Paris, where he worked with Iannis Xenakis in Le Corbusier's office. Until his final return to Greece in 1979, he commuted between Paris and Athens.

One of his works that can still be seen today is the Au Revoir on Patission Street, one of the last of the old cafés there.
