Arjan Dodaj

Arjan Dodaj (born January 21, 1977 in Laç , Kurbin , Albania ) is an Albanian Roman Catholic clergyman and appointed auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Tirana-Durrës .

Life

Arjan Dodaj emigrated to Italy in 1993 and settled in Cuneo . In 1997 he joined the Priestly Community of the Holy Cross and studied at the Papal Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome . On June 6, 2003, he received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Rome through Pope John Paul II in St. Peter's Basilica .

After his ordination he was active in parish pastoral care in Rome and as a pastor for the Albanian community in Rome. In 2017 he was sent to Albania as a Fidei donum priest and worked in the Archdiocese of Tirana-Durrës as vicar general as well as in parish and university pastoral care. He was also general secretary of the diocesan synod and assistant secretary of the Albanian bishops' conference .

Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Lestrona and auxiliary bishop in Tirana-Durrës on April 9, 2020 .
