Arkaea is an industrial metal / metalcore band that consists of Threat Signal members Jon Howard and Pat Kavanagh and ex- Fear Factory musicians Christian Olde Wolbers and Raymond Herrera.

Band history

In 2008, former Fear Factory members Christian Olde Wolbers and Raymond Herrera founded the band Arkaea and began recording their first demo recording . Shortly afterwards, they sent this to threat signal singer Jon Howard, whom they were then able to win as a permanent member of the band. While looking for a bass player, they came across Sam Rivers and Ryan Martinie (including Mudvayne ), but finally decided on Pat Kavanagh, who was also involved with Threat Signal.

In July 2009 the debut album Years in the Darkness was released , which was distributed in Europe by Century Media and in North America by E1 Music . The album was sold around 1000 times within the first week. The album includes songs that were once written for a new Fear Factory album but never released.
