Arktika is a post-hardcore / post-rock band from Cologne , whose records are distributed by the Narshardaa Records label.
style
The style of Arktika can be described as a mixture of atmospheric post-rock and hardcore with screamo elements, whereby the songs often reach a length of more than 10 minutes. The sound of Arktika is regularly compared to the Japanese band Envy . According to their own statements, the band named itself after the Russian atomic icebreaker of the same name. In late 2012, Arktika announced that the band would split up in 2013.
