Armando Ariel Borrajo (born May 2, 1976 in La Paternal , Buenos Aires , † December 18, 2010 ibid) was an Argentine cyclist .

Armando Borrajo was the Argentine road racing champion in 2006 . He also won a stage in the Doble San Francisco-Miramar and was able to win the overall ranking of the tour . In 2007 he took part in the Tour de San Luis in Argentina, but did not achieve a placement. In the 2008 season he won the prologue with his team at the Clásica del Oeste-Doble Bragado , which was held as a team time trial. In the one-day race Clasica 1 ° de Mayo Argentina , he finished second. He also took part in the Volta de Ciclismo Internacional do Estado de São Paulo .

In December 2010, Borrajo was kidnapped while on a trip to support Facundo Donadio (brother of racing driver Sebastián Donadío ), who was running for the presidency of the Argentine Cycling Federation, and was released after two days by his kidnappers. He is said to have suffered injuries and shock during the kidnapping. He committed suicide two days after his release.

Armando's brothers Alejandro and Aníbal were also active racing cyclists.
