Career

Erevanian was born in 1915 in southern Turkey as a member of the Armenian minority, but shortly afterwards had to flee the Armenian genocide with his parents . He grew up in France and began playing football in 1927 as a child at UGA Ardziv , a club of the Armenian diaspora. In 1933, the then 18-year-old was signed by the first division club Olympique Marseille , who were competing under professional conditions . In this, the player, who acquired French citizenship on April 10, 1934, was initially intended as a substitute goalkeeper behind Laurent Di Lorto . After more than two seasons without use, he made his first division debut against AS Cannes on December 8, 1935 and remained in the 3-0 win without conceding a goal. During the first half of the 1936/37 season he occupied the place between the posts several times, and even if he was no longer called up in the second half of the season - Jaguaré Vasconcelos was regularly in goal again  - he was one of the team that won the French championship in 1937 won. In the same year he turned his back on Marseille and then completed his military service.

From 1938 he was in the squad of the first division club RC Lens and a year later saw the beginning of the Second World War and the subsequent cessation of official game operations. Unlike many teammates, he was able to continue his career and take part in the unofficially still held championship. In 1940 he moved to FC Sète and in 1942 he was signed by CO Perpignan , who, however, took part in the amateur field. In the season 1944/45 he ran for the ÉF Clermont-Auvergne , which took part in the first division as a replacement for the club teams not admitted this season. When regular play was resumed in 1945, he was in the squad of the US du Mans , which played under amateur conditions. In 1946 he ended his career at the age of 31.
