The Armenian number font is a number font based on the Armenian script . There was no sign of zero . The Armenian numbers were widely used until the Indian numerals were adopted. Today they are still used occasionally to indicate years or chapter numbers.

Examples
In principle, only capital letters are used to represent numbers, because the Armenian script did not initially contain any small letters. The numbers Օ (10000) and Ֆ (20000) weren't introduced until the Middle Ages when the corresponding letters were added to the alphabet.
- Ծ = 50
- ՃԻ = 100 + 20 = 120
- ՌՋՀԵ = 1000 + 900 + 70 + 5 = 1975
- ՍԴ = 2000 + 4 = 2004
- ՍՄԻԲ = 2000 + 200 + 20 + 2 = 2222
The traditional Armenian calendar begins on July 11, 552. For example, 1935 AD corresponds to the Armenian year 1383 (ՌՅՁԳ) or 1384 (ՌՅՁԴ).
Գ. գլուխ means chapter 3. Գարեգին Բ. (transliterated Garegin B.) means Karegin II.
