Armin Hüppin

Armin Hüppin (born January 14, 1960 , legal resident in Wangen ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

The federally qualified forester lives in Wangen. He worked as a district forester in his canton .

In 1980 Hüppin joined the SP and became president of the local party in 1992. At the local level he was active in several committees and was elected to the government council in 2000 . Between July 1, 2000 and June 30, 2012, he headed the Department of Home Affairs. From 2010 until his resignation in 2012, he was also Landammann (President of the Government Council) of the Canton of Schwyz .

Hüppin has been the managing director of Genossame Lachen since July 2012.
