Armin Krügel is a former Swiss Nordic combined athlete and today's ski jumping official.

Career

Krügel made his international debut in the winter of 1994/95 as part of the B World Cup in Nordic Combined. After he landed there in the first season on rank 20 in the overall ranking and achieved a first podium in Calgary in February 1995 with rank two, he started as a member of the Swiss team at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1995 in Thunder Bay . There he won the bronze medal in the team competition together with Markus Wüst , Stefan Wittwer and Jean-Yves Cuendet . At the following Swiss championships in the Nordic Combined in 1995 in St. Moritz , Krügel secured the bronze medal behind Marco Zarucchi and Cuendet.

In the following winter of 1995/96 Krügel again achieved good performances in the B World Cup and then contested his first race in the Nordic Combined World Cup on December 16, 1995 in St. Moritz . After he achieved 63rd place overall in the World Cup, he achieved his best career result in 15th place in the B World Cup. Until 1998 Krügel remained active in the B World Cup and in the following winters reached places 26 and 40 in the overall ranking there.
