Armin Walpen
Armin Walpen (born November 2, 1948 in Reckingen VS ) is a Swiss lawyer and media manager. Between 1996 and the end of 2010 he was Director General of SRG SSR .
Life
After graduating from high school in 1969, Walpen studied law at the University of Freiburg . In 1973 he obtained his licentiate . He began his professional career in the radio and television service in the secretariat of the Federal Transport and Energy Department. Between 1980 and 1988 he was its director. From 1996 Walpen was Director General of the Swiss Radio and Television Company (SRG SSR).
