Armin Woschank (born July 2, 1982 ) is a former Austrian basketball player . In the course of his career he won the Austrian state championship six times and was a team player for the Austrian Basketball Association.

career

The 1.84 m tall and 82 kg heavy point guard played for the Kapfenberg Bulls from 1999 to 2006 and then moved to WBC Kraftwerk Wels . Woschank was a member of the national team . After winning the title as captain of the Wels team, he returned to his home club Kapfenberg Bulls in summer 2009 for private reasons.

In the summer of 2017 he ended his playing career after a total of 625 Bundesliga appearances. As a national player, he played 37 full internationals. After his career ended, he became a member of the Kapfenberg coaching staff and was given the task of promoting young players.

Armin Woschank won six championships in the Austrian Bundesliga . Between 2001 and 2004 and 2017 he was champion five times with the Kapfenberg Bulls, and in 2009 he also won the title with Wels. In 2014 and 2017 he won the cup competition with Kapfenberg. In the decisive final game in 2001, the then 18-year-old Woschank brought about the decision with a 3-point throw from nine meters three minutes before the end. 20 In the 2006/07 season he was named best local player in the Bundesliga. In 2009 he won the championship as captain with the WBC Kraftwerk Wels. He was a Bundesliga “All-Star” five times in the course of his career.
