Arnór Smárason (born September 7, 1988 in Akranes ) is an Icelandic football player.

Career

Arnór started playing football when he was young at the club in his hometown Akranes, ÍA . The young talent was also recommended for the youth of SC Heerenveen through good performances . In 2008 he was promoted to the men's division and by the summer of 2010 he had 25 top division games, in which he scored five goals. For the 2010/11 season Arnór moved to Denmark to Esbjerg fB . Here the young attacking midfielder, who got the number 9 on his back, developed into a top performer and remained loyal to Esbjerg even after his relegation.
