Arnaud Lagardère has been the manager and head of Groupe Lagardère , a holding company of Largadère SCA, since 2001 , one of the main shareholders in the European aerospace and military group EADS , to which Airbus belongs. His fortune was estimated in 2009 by the French- Moroccan business magazine Challenges at 314 million euros.

In July 2011 a video appeared on Youtube that was recorded for the daily Le Soir in his country house in Rambouillet near Paris. The publication of the video took some members of Arnaud Lagardère's industrial group as an opportunity to question his competence .
