Arne Halse (born October 20, 1887 in Kristiansund , † July 3, 1975 in Trondheim ) was a Norwegian javelin thrower who was successful in the years before the First World War .

He won a silver and a bronze medal at the 1908 Olympics and also took part in the 1906 Intermediate Olympics and the 1912 Summer Olympics. Arne Halse started for Trondhjems IF , later for Brage .

He won the Norwegian Championships four times (due to the large distances it must be assumed that the spear was lighter than 800 grams or was thrown with both arms):

year 1905 1906 1907 1909
Width (m) 72.57 81.63 94.32 90.86

He made his first international appearance at the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906 , where he came in 7th in free style. Two years later in London he was able to win two medals: silver in the Greek style, bronze in the free style. Also in 1912 in Stockholm he took part in two javelin competitions. In one-armed throwing he came in 7th place, in two-armed throwing he came in 5th place.
