Arne Paus

Arne Paus (born May 2, 1943 ) is a Norwegian figurative painter .

Paus studied from 1964 to 1966 under Joseph Beuys at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf and from 1967 to 1970 under Aage Storstein and Alf-Jørgen Aas at the State Art Academy in Oslo . He made his public debut in 1966. In the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, Arne Paus and u. a. Bjørn Fjell , Karl Erik Harr and Odd Nerdrum arranged several exhibitions under the title Romanticism and Realism .

Paus has held exhibitions in Belgium , the Netherlands and England , as well as several Norwegian cities.

His daughter is the painter Bodil Paus .
