Arnie David Giralt
Arnie David Giralt Rivero (born August 26, 1984 in Santiago de Cuba ) is a Cuban triple jumper .
The vice-youth world champion from 2001 and junior world champion from 2002 finished fourth at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis with 17.23 m. In the qualification he even jumped 17.31 m.
After a victory at the Ibero-American Championships in 2004, he was eliminated from the qualification at the Olympic Games in Athens .
Eighth place at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki and a seventh place at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka was followed by the silver medal at the 2008 World Indoor Championships in Valencia with 17.47 m.
At the Olympic Games in Beijing he was fourth, seven centimeters from bronze and 15 centimeters from gold with his personal best of 17.52 m.
Arnie David Giralt is 1.82 m tall and weighs 72 kg. He is trained by his father David Giralt , who was one of the world's best long jumpers in the 1970s .
