Arnim Bechmann

Arnim Gottfried Bechmann (born November 26, 1943 , † December 10, 2014 in Barsinghausen ) was a German economist who taught landscape economics at the Institute for Management in Environmental Planning at the Technical University of Berlin , as well as a futurologist . He was the author of numerous scientific papers. Bechmann lived and worked in Barsinghausen.

Life

After graduating from the Matthias-Claudius-Gymnasium Gehrden , Bechmann studied mathematics , physics and economics at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen from 1964 to 1969 . In 1975 he received his doctorate from the Technical University of Berlin, and two years later he completed his habilitation on planning theory and planning methodology at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hanover . From 1980 to 1983 he was the board spokesman of the Öko-Institut .
