Arno Meyer zu Küingdorf (* 1960 in Bad Oeynhausen ) is a German writer and entrepreneur .

Life

Meyer zu Küingdorf was born as the second son of the artist couple Lisa and Arthur Meyer zu Küingdorf in 1960 in Bad Oeynhausen. His parents met at the Landeskunstschule in Hamburg and married in 1952. His mother Lisa Meyer zu Küingdorf is a picture weaver , his father Arthur is a watercolor painter . His older brother is the graphic artist and author Ulf Meyer zu Kueingdorf .

Arno Meyer zu Küingdorf studied philosophy and art history at the University of Hamburg . In his works as a writer, he mainly devotes himself to criminal matters. He published, among other things, the novel The Suicide Club (1999) about the so-called “ Steglitz School Tragedy ”, reissued in 2004 under the title What is the use of love in thoughts as a novel for the film of the same name . With his detective novel Die Richterin (2000), Arno Meyer zu Küingdorf was one of the first German authors whose book was published as an e-book before it appeared in print .
