Arno Schütterle

Arno Schütterle (* 1958 in Kehl ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Schütterle grew up as the son of a farmer in Kehl . After completing his military service, he studied at the University of Hohenheim , where he graduated with a degree in agricultural engineering. From 1983 he was project manager in international development cooperation in West Africa. He then completed his legal clerkship in the higher non-technical administrative service at the Baden-Württemberg state administration. After passing the second state examination in 1990, he worked for various authorities in the country.

In 2001 Schütterle ran for the office of Lord Mayor of Mühlacker and prevailed in the second ballot with 55.9 percent. He took office in 2002. He has been a member of the regional assembly of the Stuttgart Region Association since 1999 . In 2004 he was elected to the district council of the Enzkreis and the association assembly of the Northern Black Forest region , where he was also the parliamentary group spokesman for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen. In the regular election of the mayor of Mühlacker in 2009, Schütterle lost 38.7 percent to Frank Schneider . In 2010 he was elected to the board of the Pforzheim and Enzkreis districts of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen.
