Frank Schneider (politician, 1961)

Frank Schneider (born November 27, 1961 in Mühlacker ) is a German politician ( FDP ).

He graduated from the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium Mühlacker in 1981 and then studied law at the Universities of Heidelberg and Regensburg . In 1993 he established himself as a lawyer in Maulbronn . In 1997 he became a specialist lawyer for family law , in 1999 he became a specialist lawyer for administrative law . In the same year the office was relocated to Mühlacker.

In 2001 Schneider ran for the office of Lord Mayor of Mühlacker, but lost to Arno Schütterle ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) in the runoff election with 42.6 percent. From 2004 to 2009 he was chairman of the FDP parliamentary group in the local council . In 2009 he faced Schütterle again and was able to win against the incumbent with 60.7 percent in the first ballot. Schneider took up the post of Lord Mayor of Mühlacker in 2010.
