Arno Vetterling
Arno Vetterling (born March 26, 1903 in Naumburg (Saale) , † January 30, 1963 in Hildesheim ) was a German conductor and composer who was particularly successful with his operettas .
life and work
After his temporary engagement as Kapellmeister in Chemnitz , Vetterling began composing musical works for the stage in the 1930s. He achieved his greatest success with his playful operetta Love in Lerchengasse , which was premiered on December 31, 1936 in Magdeburg and was often performed on German stages until the 1960s. Today both Vetterling and his works are largely forgotten.
