Arnold Dietrich Tidemann

Arnold Dietrich Tidemann (born October 26, 1756 in Bremen ; † April 14, 1821 in Bremen) was a lawyer and senator and mayor of the city of Bremen.

biography

Tidemann was the son of the notary Johann Friedrich Tidemann. He was married to the senator's daughter Margaretha von dem Busch; both had six children.

From 1774 he graduated from the Illustre high school in Bremen . After high school he studied from 1776 law . He received his doctorate in 1776. jur. 1779 at the University of Rinteln .

In 1792 he became a councilor ( named Senator from 1813 ). From July 25, 1818 to April 14, 1821, he succeeded Christian Abraham Heineken as mayor of Bremen and left office on his death.
