Arnold Mylius
Arnold Mylius (born October 16, 1540 in Friemersheim , Grafschaft Moers , † November 17, 1604 in Cologne ) was a German book printer and dealer in Cologne.
life and work
Mylius learned the book trade in Antwerp in the branch of Arnold Birckmann and took over its management. After moving to Cologne, he married Barbara Birckmann and became a partner and, from 1585, sole owner of the publishing house “Unter Fettenhennen” owned by Arnold Birckmann. Between 1586 and 1604, over 200 books were published under his direction.
