Arnold Petersen (born March 28, 1892 in Hamburg ; † February 18, 1953 there ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending elementary school and vocational school, Arnold Petersen learned the painting trade. From 1912 to 1914 he was a member of the imperial army , with which he took part in the First World War from 1914 to 1918 , in which he was awarded the Iron Cross II. Class and the Front Fighter Cross. In 1921 Petersen started his own business as a master painter.

Petersen joined the NSDAP around 1925. In this he took over the office of district leader. After 1933 he also became President of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and Councilor of the City of Hamburg. In addition, there was membership in the advisory board of the German Association of Craftsmen and Commerce. He was also president of the Gau Chamber of Commerce.

From March 29, 1936 until the end of Nazi rule in spring 1945, Petersen also sat as a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 34 (Hamburg) .
