history
In his city map from 1634, Wenzel Hollar shows the "Wieler Benden" in front of the Wirteltor , from which the "Arnoldis Wieler Weg" branched off to the right of the "Weg nach Gülich" (Josef-Schregel-Straße). From the Klein Colln house , also described as the Quirinus Chapel , which had stood in Arnoldsweilerstraße, only remains of the foundations remained in 1835. In 1863 the expansion of the road began. The whirlpool was relocated and satisfied in 1866.
